Exodus Wellness was created out of both professional experience and personal journey.
My story
My journey into integrative and functional pediatric care began with frustration- both professionally and personally.
As a pediatric nurse practitioner, I have spent years caring for children struggling with ongoing health concerns. I have witnessed firsthand the rising rates of childhood health concerns. Too often, I watched families get bounced around from specialist to specialist being offered treatment plans focused on managing symptoms rather than understanding why those symptoms are occurring. I often referred to this as “band-aid medicine”- care that managed the surface problem without identifying what lay beneath.
Parents were left with unanswered questions, frustration, and a growing sense that something deeper was being missed.
I began to ask different questions.
At the same time, I was navigating my own health struggles.
For years, I struggled with chronic sinus inflammation- requiring daily steroid use, treatments with side effects and even surgical intervention. Despite following every recommendation, my symptoms repeatedly returned with no clear explanation.
A brief conversation with a functional medicine practitioner shifted my perspective. For the first time, I was introduced to the idea that symptoms were the body’s way of communicating imbalance rather than isolated problems to silence.
From there, I committed myself to years of extensive continuing education, research, and a deeper exploration into how nutrition, inflammation, gut health, environmental exposures, and lifestyle factors influence the body.
What I learned changed not only my own health- but the way I practice pediatric medicine.
Today, Exodus Wellness exists to offer families the type of care I once searched for myself- and the kind of care I now believe is deeply needed.
about
Hi, I’m Stephanie Musick, MSN, CPNP-PC, a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of experience in pediatric healthcare, including work in both critical care and primary care settings.
Throughout my career, I have cared for children with complex medical needs as well as those navigating everyday health concerns. These experiences shaped my passion for understanding the whole child — physically, emotionally, and environmentally.
I have pursued ongoing continuing education in integrative and functional pediatric approaches and remain deeply committed to lifelong learning and evidence-informed care.
My approach blends the strengths of conventional pediatrics with nutrition, lifestyle guidance, and thoughtful exploration of contributing factors — always grounded in safety, clinical reasoning, and partnership with families.
Stephanie saved our sweet boy from extensive and extreme medical procedures. Her understanding of nutrition and its contribution to our medical issues and establishing a baseline with broad lab work allowed us to fix our son’s dietary and vitamin deficiencies. He is thriving and well on his way to recovering.
