Your Questions, Answered

  • Integrative pediatric care looks at the whole child rather than focusing on symptoms alone. This approach considers nutrition, gut health, inflammation, lifestyle factors, and environmental influences that may contribute to a child’s overall wellness.

Our goal is to better understand why symptoms may be occurring and to support the body’s natural ability to restore balance over time.

  • Exodus Wellness provides integrative pediatric care for children and young adults from birth through 22 years of age. Care is thoughtfully tailored to each stage of development and the unique needs of every patient.

  • No.

This practice does not provide acute sick visits, urgent care, or emergency services.

For urgent concerns, families should contact their primary pediatrician or seek emergency care as appropriate.

  • Yes. Laboratory testing is often an important part of integrative pediatric care.

When clinically appropriate, both conventional and specialized functional laboratory testing may be recommended to help identify underlying contributors such as nutrient imbalances, inflammation, gut dysfunction, or other physiological stressors.

All testing recommendations are discussed thoroughly with families prior to ordering.

  • Exodus Wellness operates as a self-pay practice in order to provide thoughtful, comprehensive pediatric care without the constraints often imposed by insurance-based visit models.

Insurance systems frequently require visits to be structured around billing guidelines and time limitations, which can restrict the ability to explore a child’s full history, patterns, and contributing factors.

By operating outside of these limitations, we are able to offer longer visits, deeper discussion, and individualized care focused on understanding the whole child.

  • Yes. When clinically appropriate, prescription medications may be recommended and prescribed — particularly when this aligns with a family’s preferences and a child’s individual needs.

Integrative care may also include the thoughtful use of professional-grade supplements and botanical (herbal) support.

Treatment decisions are collaborative and made together with parents and families, taking into account clinical judgment, safety, evidence, and each family’s goals and comfort level.

The goal is always to select the most appropriate tools — whether pharmaceutical, supplemental, herbal, nutritional, or lifestyle-based — to best support each child’s health and well-being.

  • All services at Exodus Wellness are provided via secure telehealth in accordance with state licensure requirements.

Telehealth allows families to receive comprehensive care from the comfort of home.

  • While Exodus Wellness does not bill insurance directly, superbills are provided for services rendered.

Families may choose to submit superbills to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their individual plan. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies by insurer and policy.

  • A discovery call is a brief, non-medical conversation designed to determine whether integrative care at Exodus Wellness may be a good fit for your family.

Medical advice is not provided during this call.

  • The first step is to schedule a discovery call.

If care is determined to be a good fit, families will be invited to complete intake forms and schedule an initial consultation.
